Keith L. Bernstein
Chief Executive Officer

Keith Bernstein serves as CEO of the company and is responsible for extending RRC's partnerships and spearheading growth in international business segments, including music, film & television, publishing and games. Mr. Bernstein is known in the entertainment industry for his acute financial prowess and knowledge of the complexities of royalty accounting, reporting requirements, label operations, and copyrights. With over 20 years of experience, he has a unique blend of music industry experience, and is recognized for his strategic insight and personal integrity.

Mr. Bernstein is the former Vice President of Operations for Napster, Inc. the company that pioneered person-to-person file sharing. In his role with Napster, Mr. Bernstein was selected to be responsible for the development and the management of the rights management system, processes, operations, staffing, content clearance, and licensing as related to all ownership rights associated with sound recordings and musical compositions worldwide that were to be made available on Napster's second generation service. Mr. Bernstein spent 2 years with the company before he left to become CEO and President of Entertainment Council, LLC.

Before Napster, Mr. Bernstein was the Senior Director of Operations for Universal Global e, the e-commerce division of the Universal Music Group. In his role with Universal, Mr. Bernstein was partly accountable for building the new infrastructure for managing, processing and reporting the promotional and transactional data from new digital music businesses, including all download, subscription, and pay-per-play businesses around the world through channels of purchase such as kiosks, computers, TV set top boxes, and wireless devices. Most importantly, he was directly involved with compliance issues to ensure that artist record royalties and publishing royalties would be accounted to the rights holders from new digital music sales.

Prior to joining Universal Global e, Mr. Bernstein co-founded Royalty Review Council where he was credited with being one of the first to attempt to collect data about online sales of items ranging from music to videos in order to help copyright and trademark holders collect the royalties due them. Specifically, he created a software program that can be integrated with other e-commerce programs to prevent online merchants from underreporting sales in order to reduce royalty payments.

Mr. Bernstein is also the former Director of Operations for A&M Records where he spent 7 years with the company until he left after Seagram's acquired A&M/PolyGram. In his role with A&M, Mr. Bernstein's responsibilities included the direct oversight of the contractual compliance of the record and publishing royalty payment terms for new releases, catalog products, and special market licenses. In his years prior to his employment with A&M, Mr. Bernstein was employed by the Investment Banking Firm of Houlihan, Lokey, Howard & Zukin and the Management Consulting Division of BDO Seidman, LLP.

Mr. Bernstein has been a featured guest lecturer at universities and has spoken on a number of music industry panels, covering such topics as music licensing, music royalty accounting, royalty examination procedures, and financial due diligence related to song catalog acquisitions.

Mr. Bernstein attended the John E. Anderson Graduate School of Management Executive Program in Business Management at the University of California, Los Angeles. He also received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics/Business from the University of California, Los Angeles.
